TifEagle® for Greens
TifEagle® for Greens is the preferred choice for superintendents because his reputation rides on the quality of his greens. It is the third generation of dwarf bermudagrasses and the first ultra-dwarf developed exclusively for golf greens at the Coastal Plains Experiment Station in Tifton, Georgia. Compared to its other ultra-dwarf counterparts, TifEagle® for Greens hybrid bermudagrass has improved health, quality, and playability. The extremely fine and erect blades maintain a density that repels bluegrass, delivers excellent trueness for putting, and accepts over-seeding well. It produces few seed heads and maintains its color throughout heat and longer into fall.
TifEagle® for Greens is only available as certified sod or sprigs, and only by licensed members of the TifEagle Grower’s Association. Tifton Turf, as a member of this group, is licensed to adhere to a stringent set of productions practices set up by the Georgia Seed Development Commission.
